Luo Lusheng was born in Qin 'an County, Tianshui city, Gansu Province. He now lives in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Graduated from Xinyang Army College, Air Force Command College, Central China Normal University. He is now the vice President of Beijing Gujin Hanmo Calligraphy and Painting Academy, the vice President of China Century Style Calligraphy and Painting Academy, the vice President of China National Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, the member of Chinese Calligrapher's Association, and the artistic director of The art Talent column group of China SATELLITE TV.
Studied seal cutting for more than 50 years. Published more than 3,000 seal cutting works and more than 2,000 egg carving works. He was awarded the honor of military seal cutter, calligrapher, egg carving artist and calligraphy artist.
He is the author of Lu Sheng's Prints Collection, Egg Carving Art Appreciation, Chinese Characters and Calligraphy.
In October, 2008, Luo Lusheng won the Korea Friendship Award in the exchange exhibition of Chinese and Korean painting and calligraphy.
In 2012, he participated in the Chinese Taiwan Painting and Calligraphy Exchange Exhibition and won the Taipei Cultural Exchange Contribution Award.
In 2012, he participated in the first art festival in Xiaogan City, Hubei Province, and won a special award for painting and egg carving exhibition.
In 2014, he participated in the first Hubei Painting and Calligraphy Competition and won the Excellence Award.
In September 2018, he was invited to attend the 21st Beijing Art Fair.
In 2018, he was invited to attend the 6th International Public Welfare Ceremony recorded in CCTV Studio Hall, and was awarded the honorary title of "2018 International Pioneer in Chinese Art Circles".
In the same year, he was invited to attend the recording of the 2019 Global Huaxia Star Spring Festival Gala, and was awarded the honorary title of "Most Artistic Attainment".
In May, 2018, he was entered into the Chinese culture and art talent pool by the China Culture and Art Talent Management Center.

As a member of the five styles of calligraphy, seal script has the status of calligraphy that cannot be rooted. The early seal script began in the late Western Zhou Dynasty, and thus produced two main font characteristics, one is lineization, the font lines changed from chaos to uniformity, and the other is standardization, and the font shape changed from miscellaneous to whole, thus successfully breaking away from the drawing-like mode and laying the foundation for square characters. Looking at Luo Lusheng's seal script calligraphy today, I deeply feel that his seal script is inherited from Shi Guwen's mantle, the flavor of big seal script is full, his works are written in a center, turning back to nature, and his husband is consciously trying to avoid the lines being too flat, and the explanation between the ups and downs of lines is subtle, which shows the writing of pen and ink very well, making his seal script neither slippery nor rigid. Luo Lusheng has been studying seal cutting for more than 50 years. Today's seal cutting achievements are due to this.
As the ancients said, round brings luck, and those who carry it pass, and those who pass are harmonious. His works have more round pens, which make the glyphs round and full, and make the body full. I think that the roundness of seal script itself is a great aesthetic feeling, and at the same time it is also a kind of skill and realm. Moreover, seal script can implement the beauty of tact, and it can also show a calligraphy style with reciprocating charm and endless blood circulation. It shows skillful brushwork skills and interesting pen and ink, which can be said to benefit a lot from Shi Guwen. The pen thickness of the works is appropriate, and the stroke line is mainly round, supplemented by music. It is round and strong, and there is no lack of tension. When the stroke is inside and outside, the outside is inside, which is quite temple-like. It is full of seal characters, and the words are finished and polished, dignified and generous. The composition is also wide and balanced, and it is bold and vigorous. It can be said that the use of these calligraphy elements is not only well versed in classics, but also has its own unique technical charm, which is free to write without losing rules, rigor and solemnity, and without losing interest.
It is another characteristic of Luo Lusheng's calligraphy, which is different from the circle. It is the dryness displayed on the calligraphy, and of course it can not be separated from the blessing of the brushwork. Its ink is steady, the first ink is moist, and it goes to the end, and the ink is gradually dry, thus making every independent word have a flowing and outward visual tension, and the ending corresponds to it, which also makes the swaying font situation appear. Mo Yun's rhythm from beginning to end virtually carries Mr. Wang's spiritual understanding of seal script ink. The Mo Yun flowing out of the characters is not only meticulous and appropriate, but also in place, which makes the seal script durable.
Inheriting stone drums, calligraphy is natural. Mr. Luo's seal script works are exquisite and rational. He never bluffs on the glyphs, but makes them more restrained and older, showing people in a healthy and safe way. His works trace back to Shi Guwen, and at the same time have their own creative power. The fonts are smart in stability, and show vitality in quietness. They are different in pen and ink, fresh and simple, and the weather is endless. This kind of calligraphy, which comes down in one continuous line and excels in pen and ink, can be tasted repeatedly.
